The Kitchen. The heart-throb or any home. Most of you know the original kitchen at 206 Cordoba was no Prince Charming. The only appliances were maroon and non function not to mention it was claustrophobic, and ugly. Jeff and I had a few options. 1-do nothing. 2-gut it. OR 3-skinny reno. We chose skinny which means buy only the things necessary to make it functional and fix the rest spending as little money possible.
1.Get working appliance
2. Make the room less ugly
We got a great deal all the 4 major kitchen appliances from HHgregg. Go there. Ask for Rodney, he’s the man. We knocked out the soffits to open it up a bit, rearranged and lifted the original cabinets (we plan to repaint them at some point), painted above the cabinets, changed the backsplash to subway tile, made a window sill out of a stair tread, new lighting, and a new faucet. After appliances we spent less than $300.00 on supplies and hardware. This is what we have to how for it.
I’m very happy with the function and look! And Jeff is even happy about the bottom line. Yay!
